Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, I am now in my early 60s and a freelance internet consultant who has half an eye on retiring. In previous times I have been a sound engineer working with bands and theatre companies, and a bookseller for 21 years.
I spent many years on the Dorothy Dunnett Society committee including Chairman and Membership Administrator until standing down a few years ago to concentrate on my business.
I play chess, not as often as I would like, and was President of the Edinburgh Chess League for 16 years and Secretary for the Edinburgh Chess Club. My other interests include landscape photography, music, hill-walking, and history. I’m passionate about the delightful alpine country of Slovenia and have recently bought a house there which I’ll retire to if Brexit doesn’t screw things up.
